January Accountability Challenge

Welcome to the Free Purpose Up January Accountability Challenge!

If you’re here, you’re either a participant, interested in or just checking it out the Purpose Up Accountability Challenge.

Ready to level up? This is a fun way to join others who are interested in challenging themselves. I always use January as a time to stretch myself with a new habit I want to try, or take a break from a habit that doesn’t serve me. And you could do both! Often times a good habit, helps with a bad habit. Like I meditate more when I am working to shake a habit that doesn’t serve me.

How it Works:

  1. Email me [email protected] to let me know you’re in
  2. Decide what you’re committing to daily for the month of January (more on that below)
  3. Design your rules
  4. Track your progress on this google sheet each day with a 1 if you did it that day or a 0 if you didn’t
  5. There will book giveaways for the most consistent trackers, and the ones who score the highest
  6. You will get daily e-mail reminders for the month to motivate and remind you (unless you unsubscribe)
  7. You will get your first email Dec 31st to remind you!

Decide on Your Challenge

This is where you get to have some fun. I am doing a no alcohol January. I find no booze challenges help me sleep better, get more done, and help me loose weight. Other ideas:

  • meditate daily
  • no unnatural sugar
  • exercise daily
  • eat plant based (I did this one 5 years ago and kept it going!)
  • no phone 30 minutes before bed
  • go to bed at a certain time each night
  • write in a gratitude journal
  • say a mantra to myself daily

Design Your Rules

These need to be specific, so you know if you completed your challenge each day or not. So for me it’s pretty easy, did I drink or not. You can add in a penalty if you want to add more spice to it! Like if I have a drink I have to do 200 pushups the next day. The more specific the better because if there is room to sneak around the challenge we will.

If you want to exercise daily, but you want off days you can say I weight lift 3 days a week and walk at least 15 mins on my off days.

Track Your Progress

I created a google sheet that everyone will use for the challenge. If there is anything you don’t feel comfortable sharing on there, don’t. You can even put codewords in there if you want. Say you don’t want to watch porn for 30 days, you could say I don’t watch youtube for 30 days.

Prizes

There will be prizes for the ones who are consistent with their tracking and the ones who keep up their challenge commitments! More details to follow!
